Greg Hudson, MD
In the spring of 1991, Greg and his wife Jan relocated from Louisville to South Shore, and have been blessed with a thriving family: five sons, two daughters, four daughters-in-law, and sixteen grandchildren—what a joy!
Dr. Hudson, originally from Breathitt County, Kentucky, graduated from Morehead State University and the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Additionally, as an ordained minister, he strives for a deep commitment to his Lord, his family, and his patients.
Samuel Hudson, MD
Samuel is the fourth child of Greg and Jan Hudson. Dr. Sam’s journey to becoming a pediatrician reflects both his dedication to medicine and his passion for caring for others.
Growing up in South Shore, Kentucky, he graduated from Harvest Christian Academy in 2011. He married his high school sweetheart Rachel Dianna in 2012. He attended undergrad at Morehead State University and medical school at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He completed his residency at Kentucky Children’s Hospital in 2022. He is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
When discussing his choice to enter the medical field, Dr. Sam noted, “Medicine provided me with the unique opportunity to combine my interest in physiology and fulfill Christ’s command to care for the sick.” His enthusiasm for pediatrics is evident in his description of children: “Kids are awesome! They are resilient, inquisitive, and hilarious.”
Dr. Sam and Rachel Dianna have five wonderful children: Connor, Eli, Gracie, Benjamin, and Abigail. Their family life is vibrant extension of his personal values and professional dedication
Matthew Hudson, MD
Dr. Matthew Hudson, the fifth child of Greg and Jan Hudson, grew up in South Shore, Kentucky.
After completing his pediatric residency at Kentucky Children’s Hospital in 2024, he chose to return to his roots and continue serving our community.
A 2013 graduate of Harvest Christian Academy, Dr. Matthew pursued his undergraduate studies
at Morehead State University, where he met his loving wife, Calie. He graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in 2021.
Dr. Matthew and Calie are devoted parents to two sons, Lazarus and Hezekiah. His journey exemplifies a deep commitment to both his professional development and his growing family, reflecting a dedication to making a positive impact in his field and community.
Wm. Andrew Ruggles, APRN, CPNP-PC
Since March 2010, we have been blessed to have Andrew as part of our practice, delivering exceptional care to our patients. Known for his unwavering dedication and compassionate
approach, Andrew has earned the highest level of trust and respect from all of the Dr. Hudsons.
Growing up in rural Scioto County and now residing in South Shore, Kentucky, Andrew is deeply rooted in the community he serves. He and his wife, Jessica, are proud parents to four children: Jackson, Lainey, Landon, and Elias.
A 2004 graduate of Harvest Christian Academy, Andrew pursued his higher education, earning his ADN from Shawnee State University, his BSN from Morehead State University, and his MSN
from the University of Cincinnati. As a board-certified Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Andrew brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role, consistently demonstrating a meticulous and thoughtful approach to patient care.
Rachel M. Hudson, APRN, CPNP-PC
Rachel is the second child of Greg and Jan. After earning her Master of Science in Nursing as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from the University of Cincinnati, she immersed herself in hands-on experience by working closely with her father, Dr. Greg Hudson and adopting his clinical approach.
In August 2013, she began seeing patients independently at the former Lucasville office. In 2022, Rachel transitioned to the role of office manager, where she now concentrates on the daily operations of the practice.
Her dedication is evident not only in her clinical work but also in her leadership and management skills. As a board-certified Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Rachel combines her clinical experience with operational acumen to enhance patient care and practice efficiency.
